What is Speaking Part 3?

Speaking Part 3 is the final section of the IELTS Speaking test, lasting 4-5 minutes. This part involves a two-way discussion between you and the examiner about abstract ideas and issues related to the topic you discussed in Part 2. Your Part 3 performance is evaluated on the same four criteria as the entire Speaking test:

Employ less common and idiomatic language
Demonstrate precise meaning and natural usage

While Part 1 focuses on personal topics and Part 2 on personal stories, Part 3 requires you to think about society, general trends, and abstract concepts.

Avoid rehearsed answers that don't directly address the question. Examiners can easily identify prepared speeches.

D. Fear of Expressing Opinions

Don't be afraid to take a stance. The examiner wants to hear your ability to argue and justify viewpoints.
